Just One More Step
Richard Eu may be at the helm of a multi-million dollar company but he hasn’t forgotten his first love: music. The CEO of the reputed Eu Yan Sang International, a company founded by his great grandfather Eu Kong in 1879, recorded his first album titled 66, in 2012.
Launched at Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Academy charity event in May 2013, 66 – a nod to Richard’s age – is a self-produced album with seven of its nine tracks being recorded in Paris. The other two were recorded right here in Singapore in which his son Christopher Eu, along with a string of quartet led by Leslie Tan of the T’ang Quartet and other well-known local musicians. The album comprises a mix of his favourite numbers ranging from blues, jazz, rock and folk.

JUST ONE MORE STEP
Just One More Step compiles all the important bits of running into a simple step-by-step guide suitable for beginners – from choosing the right gear to structuring training programmes and getting motivated.
Written by David Shum, a qualified coach and volunteer trainer for SAFRA Running Club and Big Splash Running Club, Just One More Step provides valuable insights on the appropriate and practical way to begin training to run, addresses common questions from beginners and highlights the importance of race preparation.
Motivated to contribute back to the community, the author and parent of a child with special needs in Rainbow Centre Singapore’s early intervention programme, hopes to inspire others to share their strengths and talents to benefit the community. Just One More Step was launched on 4 April 2013 at Sports Town Wisma Atria. The event was graced by C Kunalan, one of Singapore’s greatest athletes.
