The Psychologists evaluate the child’s cognitive, social and emotional development before embarking on necessary intervention measures. Psychological evaluations and assessments are conducted for referrals, placement at other agencies, diagnostic reviews and transition planning for educational placement.
Consultation and intervention to address concerns related to behaviour, emotions, learning, social and group skills are provided to parents, caregivers, teachers and students. Challenging behaviour that can impede a child’s learning is also addressed.
The Psychologists are also involved in training parents and teachers on a variety of topics related to learning, emotion and social development skills, child development and classroom management skills.
To achieve holistic intervention, the Pyschologists work closely with parents, caregivers, teachers and fellow allied health professionals.
