Enable Good Lives With Your Donations
At Rainbow Centre, we envision a world where persons with disabilities live Good Lives – lives that are empowered and thriving in inclusive communities. We work with our partners to create opportunities for persons with disabilities to make the most of their abilities and participate meaningfully in society. Through practical education, meaningful support and effective training programmes, we strive to increase the quality of life for them and their families.
Through this campaign, we aim to raise $50,000 to empower our work in three key areas of needs:
Support Low Resource Families to Access Services
A growing area of need as the cost of living rises, 40% of our families require financial assistance across programme and transport fees, access to assistive technology and crisis support.
Reduce Caregiver Stress and Social Isolation
To support families and our young adults, we run a range of programmes like family coaching, special student care services and adult programmes to prevent social isolation, all of which are not sufficiently funded and require support for the long run.
Develop Research and Innovation-Driven Practices
We encourage innovation and permeate good evidence-based practices with the set up of Rainbow Centre Seed Grant, which is awarded to research study projects by RC staff spanning areas like strategies for enhancing literacy instruction and game-based applications for socio-emotional education.
Meet Some of our Artists
Our budding artists are from Rainbow Centre’s Artability talent development programme for students 15–18 years old, who grow their visual art styles through training and opportunities. They are exposed to a variety of art mediums and advocacy opportunities to partake in the local art scene, through learning journeys or exchanges with professional artists or trainers.
