Training
About
Our training arm, Rainbow Centre Training & Consultancy (RCTC), provides workshops and consultancies to internal units and the wider social service sector. It collaborates with organisations to amplify inclusive practices and design solutions to improve accessibility of persons with disabilities in the community. RCTC is proud to be appointed by Social Service Institute’s Training Network Model 2.0 from 2022 – 2024 to provide training on disability, social inclusion and community assets for sector professionals.
What we offer
For Individuals
We run public or customised workshops in disability awareness and support strategies for families, volunteers, befrienders and the general public to enhance the quality of life and social inclusion for persons with disabilities.
For Professionals
We build capabilities of professionals such as educators, allied professionals, coaches, social workers, and care workers by equipping them with deep skills to work with persons with disabilities and their families to achieve person-centred outcomes.
For Organisations
We provide consultancy and customised training to help organisations better serve and include persons with disabilities. They may be your clients, colleagues, or as members of the community.
Our Trainers

Faridah Ali Chang
Three-in-one is an apt way of describing Faridah, who is a psychologist, trainer and special needs educator rolled into one. With more than 30 years of experience in working with persons with disabilities, families and caregivers, Faridah has a gamut of real-life experiences from multiple disciplines that she uses when facilitating learning for our partners and clients.

Linda Prebhash
Linda eats, sleeps and breathes inclusion and disability education. Her 30 years of expertise in special needs education and adult learning pedagogy have enabled many of our partners and clients to adopt inclusive practices successfully. With her extensive experience as a special needs teacher, vice-principal and principal, Linda represents a more inclusive world where persons of all abilities are empowered to thrive.

Sharifah Yokoyama
The inherently curious Sharifah has continued her journey of learning and thriving for over 30 years in Rainbow Centre – while still loving every inch of what she does. As a special needs teacher, then programme lead, and now an adult learning educator, Sharifah crafts unique learning experiences for special needs professionals and community partners, including families, caregivers and organisations.

Tan Yeok Nguan
If there is anyone who embodies person and human-centredness, it is Yeok Nguan, who is fondly known as YN. A rare soul that has married education, innovative design and the social service, YN provides expertise in human-centred and inclusive design for persons of all abilities.
