This a vivid representation of how our students view Singapore’s major transportation system, the MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) deserves a closer look. – The train is portrayed to be never-ending, as it threads through many estates and corners of the island. – It is affixed with a lion’s head, as inspired by well-loved local icons Singa the Courtesy Lion and the Merlion. The lion’s head is decorated with synthetic fiber to give it a 3D outlook and a sensorial feel. – Clay was used to model the commuters hailing from all walks of life. – The background is blended in shades of blue, green and yellow watercolour, textured with salt, to better illustrate the greenery of Singapore.
