Written with heartwarming wit by Alfian Sa’at and featuring a brilliant score by Elaine Chan, this award-winning musical is spectacularly reimagined for the Wild Rice stage by visionary director Ivan Heng. Packed with catchy songs, hilarious gags, wushu and magic, join Ah Tang, Wukong and their friends on an epic adventure filled with mischief, danger and discovery!

Enabling Persons with Disabilities: The Gaps
As we officially enter the post-18 adult disability space, a key priority is ensuring that support and opportunities for persons with disabilities continue beyond the school years. Addressing this gap for those with moderate to higher support needs is one of the key area of need supported by your donations.
For youths with disabilities, leaving the sheltered confines of a SPED school brings a myriad of challenges from limited employment pathways to fewer opportunities for social participation and community life.
This makes the post-18 transition daunting and uncertain for the families as structured routines start changing and they lose vital support services which have supported them from birth. Across the adult disability landscape today, families also encounter practical challenges when exploring next steps. Services may have limited spaces or varying levels of suitability, and cost can add to a family’s stress. For youths with higher support needs, like those we serve at RC, the options may be even more limited.
But life after school should also hold possibilities for friendship, participation, and belonging. Without sustained opportunities and touchpoints beyond school, these young adults’ social networks may remain largely limited to family members and formal services, with rare opportunities for friendships with typical peers or opportunities to develop their skills in forming relationships with others out of their immediate circles. This puts them at risk of social isolation, a common concern faced by our adult clients.

Support low-resource families to access subsidies, assistive technology and crisis care
A growing area of need as the cost of living rises, 40% of our families require financial assistance across programme and transport fees, access to assistive technology and crisis support.
Run programmes to reduce social isolation and reduce caregiver stress
To support families and our young adults, we run vital services like special student care services and adult programmes to ensure continuity of care and prevent social isolation.
Invest in innovative solutions to address service gaps and enhance meaningful engagement
We encourage innovation and permeate good evidence-based practices with the set up of RC Seed Grant, which is awarded to research study projects by RC staff to improve our collective practice.
